Default UHaul

We decided last week to add UHaul to one of our facilities. This is the first time we have added uhaul. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

One extra little perk (we discovered this last week as when our rep came to train us) is that they pay for your yellowpage advertising! While I think yellowpages are on the way out (people seem to be moving to internet advertising) it is sure a great perk!

Our area rep will be bringing us some trucks later this week.... then we will officially be off and rolling.

In the mean time, we need to hang our new uhaul signs on the property - and perhaps prepare a press release to announce the new addition to the facility.

Shiloh, So far the Uhaul side of things is really picking up. The way uhaul works is the more reservations you make the higher ranking you get in your area. The higher your ranked the more vehicles the uhaul corp. will send you. It really is all about customer service and being proactive with it. We will keep you posted.

After doing uhaul for a few months - - - the jury is still out about a long term decision.

We are bringing in additional revenue each month, but it is more work than you would expect. I would not want to do uhaul at a facility unless I either had an on site manager or paid staff during regular business hours.

We do have paid staff at one of our locations, and uhaul seems to be working out there. We are asking her to track hours spent on uhaul, so that we have a direct way to measure uhaul profitability. That method doesn't take into consideration any additional business that uhaul may produce (additional units rented) but it is a start!

yellow pages is definitely on the way out. we've actually pulled all of our yellow pages advertising completely as we were spending a massive amount of money on it and it wasn't getting us the results it used to.

push for them to spend that yellow pages $$ on some good SEO work for your website.
