The United States Economy is in the beginning of some interesting times! Newscasters left and right are saying that the events of this last week are the biggest events we have seen since the Great Depression.
We have had bank failures.
Then, the failure - and subsequent bailout of AIG.
I know! Have you heard about the gas crisis in Nashville? Check that out...scary...the whole city is in tatters...luckily my girlfriend and I are within a walk/bus ride/bike ride from our jobs, grocery store, restaurants, etc...pretty nice.
I know that we have been hearing on how bad things are in the economy and the news is telling us that we should be worried but I am feeling more intrigued. I find change very interesting and full of opportunity. From what I have heard; Carnegie and Rockefeller both made their fortunes during hard economic times. Also the wealthiest man in the world (happens to be from Mexico) made his fortune during a huge economic downturn in Mexico.
Now we are seeing bank failures around the world. Maybe more opportunities...
